BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT LEADER

Job Purpose 

A-Gas Rapid Recovery is the number one service provider of refrigerant recovery services for the HVAC, refrigeration, demolition, and marine industries. Projects range in size from single residential split systems to chilling systems operating on tens of thousands of pounds, to projects with thousands of units. The Business Development Leader will manage service technicians in a territory and be accountable to ensure timely and exceptional service to our customers.  In addition, the Business Development Leader is responsible for the growth, profitability, and development of the territory, including managing current and new customer relationships.      

This position reports to 

Regional Team Leader 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentorship to Field Service Technicians 
  • Find additional opportunities for service, gas buy-back and refrigerant spot buy sales that help to meet or exceed territory targets  
  • Ensure daily work orders and weekly expense are reported timely   
  • Ensure proper care for your assigned vehicles by keeping them in clean, presentable condition and maintained according to the vehicle manual   
  • Actively prospect new accounts, as well as maintaining and maximizing profitable relationships with a significant existing customer base 
  • Act as the primary outside sales generator and accountable for meeting monthly, quarterly and annual sales and gas recovery goals for the company 
  • Communicate effectively with the customers and technicians, informing and updating them regularly to guarantee that sales and contractor objectives are met. 
  • Collect proposal data via job walks, phone in proposal requests, present and follow up on all proposals. 
  • Follow sales systems and Salesforce procedures outlined in your sales training and job description.  
  • Utilize Salesforce for activity planning and relationship development execution 
  • Prepare daily call planning, research prospects and address all follow up activities. 
  • Investigate and resolve customer concerns 
  • Work in a safe manner, holding self and others accountable for safety standards  
  • May need to assist and/or work alongside technicians as necessary as back-up 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Experience, Knowledge Skills and Abilities   

  • College Degree preferred, 3+ years of industry and leadership experience in lieu of degree may be considered  
  • Previous experience in the HVAC or specialty gas industry preferred 
  • Leadership/managerial experience preferred  
  • Previous Salesforce experience preferred  
  • Must hold state issued driver's license, be at least 25 years old with a clean driving record   
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check   
  • Must have the ability to work flexible hours, overtime may be required   
  • CDL Class C with Haz Mat Endorsement preferred, or ability to obtain certifications within 90 days of employment   
  • EPA Universal Certification preferred or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of employment   
  • Must possess technical knowledge to perform the job and follow all safety procedures  
  • Computer skills required with the ability to type and utilize current technology  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers  
  • Must be able to travel and be available flexible hours    

Physical Demands  

  • May be required to assist and/or work as a technician as necessary 
  • Must be able to work outside in the weather-related elements   
  • A lot of time will be spent in the truck, driving  
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear.    
  • This position entails very heavy work which requires exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally (possibly up to 350 pounds), and/or in excess of 75 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force constantly to move/lift objects
