Buyer Domestic Halon

Job Purpose

Responsible for telemarketing campaigns to Fire Protection contractors to purchase Halons and other specialty gases.

Sales Director

Principal Place of Work

A-Gas site in Bowling Green, Ohio with travel to A-Gas sponsored events

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Sales Director with strategies, leads, and dash boards to track projects and secure the purchase of Halons
  • Maintain Quote Log of 100 calls per day for purchase of Halons and provide feedback to maintain monthly goals
  • Match programs to customer requirements introducing them to the A-Gas Total Solutions which will exceed their initial requirements.
  • Update customer and call dashboard daily
  • Deliver prepared sales talks, reading from scripts that describe our product and/or services in order to persuade potential customers.
  • Answer basic member inquiries pertaining to their account.
  • Any other tasks as required

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Essential
    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Strong Communicator
    • Excellent verbal communication skills
    • Customer focused
    • Good customer service skills or prior experience
    • Strong attention to detail, time management and decision-making skills
    • Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, high call volume environment
    • Demonstrate timely, consistent job attendance history
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Ability to build rapport with clients
    • Persuasive, outgoing attitude
    • Must be a self starter
    • Must be capable of working independently
    • Ability to handle stressful situations and thrive under pressure 
  • Desirable
    • Past experience in Data Call Center environment
    • Sales work experience
    • Marketing, sales and customer service experience is a BIG plus!
